The kids sure thought it was fun to have sparkling apple juice in wine glasses and having a candle lite defiantly was a hit. I think this will be a new tradition for our family, thanks Sadie for the cute idea... After dinner the kids got to open the presents that they exchanged with each other... They were pretty excited to open a present before Christmas. Only 3 days till Christmas, man it sure is coming fast....

Tonight was a perfect night!!! The weather was nice, and the lights were amazingly beautiful as always, and the best part Matt had the night off to share it with us... Hudson was so cute he couldn't believe that this is were his mom & dad were married! He then wanted to know if we could go in, when I told him not till his is older he then asked if he could touch it so we went up and let the kids touch the Temple and go up the stairs. I wish and hope one day that all my children will make the choice to be married in the Temple!!! I love my little family and am so grateful for them each and everyday...

The Christmas tree was beautifully decorated. The poor spiders were frantic, for they could not see the tree, nor be present for the little Christ child's visit. Then the oldest and wisest spider suggested that perhaps they could wait until everyone went to bed and then get a closer look.
When the house was dark and silent, the spiders crept out of their hiding place. When they neared the Christmas tree, they were delighted with the beauty of it. The spiders crept all over the tree, up and down, over the branches and twigs and saw every one of the pretty things.
The spiders loved the Christmas tree. All night long they danced in the branches, leaving them covered with spider webs. In the morning, when the little Christ child came to bless the house, he was dismayed! He loved the little spiders for they were God's creatures, but he knew the mother, who had worked so hard to make everything perfect, would not be pleased when she saw what the spiders had done.
With love in his heart and a smile on his lips, the little Christ child reached out and gently touched the spider webs. The spider webs started to sparkle and shine! They had all turned into sparkling, shimmering silver and gold.
According to legend, ever since this happened, people have hung tinsel on their Christmas trees. It has also become a custom to include a spider among the decorations on the Christmas tree.

Tonight was a fun and special night! I took the kids and let them pick out flowers and stuffed animals of their choice to go put on their sisters grave. So cute to watch what they wanted to pick out, and Hudson always asks the cutest questions about when we will see her again. After the grave was all decorated we sang a few Christmas carols, it brought tears to my eyes listening to their sweet little voices sing...Then we meet up with the Mill's family for dinner at Arctic Circle it was a perfect ending to a great night...

We exchanged names with our little family today, then went shopping to find some special gifts. Had a yummy lunch at Brick Oven and then to the mall to see Santa Clause!! Both of the boys asked Santa for a Dsi xl and Emmie asked for clothes (don't know where that came from).. It was a fun and crazy day!!! Only 21 more days till Christmas...

Tonight's activity was writing letters to Santa... The kids all sat down and wrote their letter of what they wanted and something that they needed (of course with a little help). Then after they were all sealed and stamped we headed up to Macy's to mail them in Santa's mailbox. For every stamped letter put in the mailbox they will donate 1.00 to make a wish foundation, I thought that was pretty neat and awesome to be a part of!!!! Only 23 more days till Christmas...
